week 2: brand

This week’s internship progress was heavily based on preparation for the photo shoot next week. I have gained the pivotal knowledge that Banded, as a brand, aims to be approachable to a wide variety for their target market. Anyone could be shopping their brand from 12 year older girls to seniors. This mindset greatly affected my preparation from styling choices to hairstyles when it came to researching options for our models next week.

We also strategically picked out product that will be featured on social media over the period of Fall into Holiday. I will be producing video content for social media and styling videos using this upcoming product. I learned how to create usable content along with strategizing appropriate hairstyles and clothing options for video content. We reviewed catalogues and look books to study the brand aesthetic.

I’m really looking forward to being a part of the photoshoot the following week and watch this part of the marketing process from an up close perspective!
